As the Veteran Outreach Coordinator (VOC) for Ascend Behavioral Health, a national network of recovery centers, Patton’s Pals helps veterans access trauma-informed treatment in environments that understand military culture and the unique challenges veterans face.
Through the development of Battle Born Veterans Village (BBVV), Patton’s Pals is creating a pathway from crisis to independence by providing recovery-focused housing, mentorship, and transitional support for veterans rebuilding their lives.

Steven and Patton have served side by side since March 19, 2023. Throughout Steven’s alcohol recovery journey, Patton stood with him during his most difficult moments, providing steady companionship, loyalty, and quiet strength when it was needed most. What began as a personal fight for sobriety became a renewed commitment to purpose and service.
Now, approaching three years sober, Steven and Patton — alongside his wife Amanda and daughters Katie and Samantha — continue the fight for lasting recovery, both within their own home and in the lives of the veterans they serve.
Their journey is built on accountability, faith, structure, and the belief that healing is possible with the right support.
Patton’s Pals was born from lived experience — not theory. It represents resilience in action and the conviction that no veteran should battle addiction, trauma, or mental health challenges alone. Together, they stand as proof that recovery is not only achievable, but sustainable.

Patton’s Pals provides veteran-focused recovery coordination and trauma-informed support for those facing addiction, PTSD, and mental health challenges. We connect veterans and their families to trusted treatment resources and walk alongside them from crisis to stability. Through our Battle Born Veterans Village initiative, we are working to create a pathway from crisis to independence through recovery-focused housing, mentorship, employment support, and community reintegration.
Recovery Coordination
We connect veterans to appropriate levels of care, including detox, residential treatment, PHP, IOP, and sober living. Every referral is tailored to the veteran’s clinical needs and long-term recovery goals.
Trauma & Mental Health Support
We help veterans access evidence-based trauma therapies, PTSD treatment, counseling services, and peer support networks designed specifically for those who have served.
Housing & Reintegration Support
Through community partnerships and the future development of Battle Born Veterans Village, we assist veterans in accessing housing resources, employment opportunities, benefits navigation, and structured support designed to promote long-term stability and independence.
Family Guidance
Addiction impacts the whole family. We provide education, direction, and referrals so loved ones can support recovery in healthy and informed ways.
